Machines Room is East London’s impact hub, founded in 2014. Situated in the heart of the Maker Mile, a thriving hub of art, design and creative technology, we are open to individuals and organisations to come and develop their ideas. In our FabLab we have a range of CNC machines and workshops for processes such as laser cutting, 3D printing and electronics. Our programme promotes critical making and positive futures particularly concepts such as open Making, open source, the re-distributed manufacturing & the circular economy. We incubate makers in residence who are either kickstarting a product or experimenting with new ideas. After their residences the makers share a resource, leave an artefact in our Maker Library and lead a workshop with the community. We will be sharing these resources here on Wikifab.
